Curator, writer, editor, PhD researcher and lecturer specialised in photography. Through her photo-literary platform Photocaptionist she works independently and collaborates with international institutions, collections, festivals and fairs, including the Kunsthalle Budapest, the V&A, Tokyo Photo Festival, Vienna Art Week and the Archive of Modern Conflict. Her most recent projects include Jaipur Photo Festival in India, for which she was guest co-curator of the 2017 edition, and the exhibitions ‘Feminine Masculine: On the Struggle and Fascination of Dealing with the Other Sex’ (Photo50, London Art Fair, 2016), ‘P.H. Emerson: Presented by the Author’, curated while she was Art Fund Curatorial Fellow of Photographs at the V&A Museum and presented at Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery (2015-2016) and the exhibition and book ‘Amore e Piombo: the Photography of Extremes in 1970s Italy’, for the Archive of Modern Conflict at Brighton Photo Biennial, 2014, winner of the Kraszna Krausz 2015 Best Photography Book Award. She is visiting lecturer at several international institutions, including FOAM (Amsterdam), Paris College of Art, Ithaca College (NY), and The Photograpers’ Gallery (London). Her writings have appeared in Der Greif, Photoworks, FOAM, Unseen and The British Journal of Photography, among others. She has been jury member of several international photography and photobooks awards and she offers mentorship through portfolio reviews internationally. She recently joined the Academy of Nominators for the Deutsche Börse Foundation Photography Prize. Currently she is working with Miho Odaka on the exhibition Invisible Stratum as part of Tokyo Photo Festival 2017.
